Summary:
Scar returns to find that Yoki has brought home two strays, May Chang and her panda Xiao-Mei. May Chang has promised her life to Yoki, but Scar unburdens her and before he can send her away, she recognizes the tattoo on his arm as a form of purification rituals that Xing uses in his form of alchemy.Back at the hotel, Edward, Alphonse and Winry discuss what might happen to Al’s body and how it might interact with Ed’s. Winry returns to her room to pack as she heads back to Resembool. The brothers talk some more about going through the portal again to retrieve Al’s body and what they will pay the toll for. Eventually they decide they need more information and may be able to get it from one of the homunculi. As they return from their investigation, Denny Brosh finds them and tells them that Scar has returned and that they should go back to the hotel where it is safer. Hearing that Scar is back reminds Ed to tell Al that Scar is most likely the killer of Winry’s parents, Dr. and Mrs. Rockbell. This means that Ed has come up with a plan to lure the homunculi out into the open. Since they won’t hurt Ed and Al at the moment since they can open the portal, Ed plans to lure and confront Scar, who should bring the homunculi to protect him. Just as Ed finishes his plan, Ling Yao jumps out the window with Lan Fan. He overhears the plan and volunteers to help whether Ed wants the help or not because he also wants to learn more about homunculi.Ed spends the next moment in town performing altruistic acts of alchemy, and before long he’s the talk of the town. As he and Al sit in the cafe waiting for Scar to show up, Roy Mustang and Riza pull up to the curb near the boys. The boys go with Roy and Riza and shortly after discuss the disappearance of Dr. Marcoh and the Philosopher’s Stone. As the discussion continues, Scar enters. Before Riza or Roy attack the boys to tell them they will handle it because they don’t want anyone else to get hurt. Scar and the boys engage in battle while Ling Yao and Lan Fan watch from the top of a nearby building. As the fight continues, Roy and Riza radio in fake positions to keep MPs away from the real battle.Führer King Bradley, the homunculus Anger in Disguise and Gluttony made their way towards Scar. Gluttony has smelled him and is eagerly expecting to eat him. At the same time, Ling Yao and Lan Fan sense the presence of Gluttony approaching and prepare to attack with it.
