Summary:
Winry, Alphonse, Lin Yao, and Lan Fan are all back at the hotel discussing how Al and Ed plan to move forward since no one really knows how long Al can stay chained to the armor. Lin makes a callous remark that Winry takes offense to and runs off to her room with Al following her. The discussion gets to the point where Winry begs Al to get his body back.This leads to a dream sequence where Ed is back through the portal and facing Truth, who is trying to get his brother back. When Ed wakes up, he sees his father Hohenheim walking away. After getting up, he goes downstairs and asks Pinako for help with the task. They agree and head to where the Elric house used to be and start digging around an old tree. They eventually find the right place and uncover the body that Pinako buried the night Ed and Al tried unsuccessfully to bring their mother back to life. Ed finds a clump of hair, only to find it black, not auburn like Trisha’s. After thoroughly examining the bones and everything else left of the body, Pinako discovers that the body is not actually that of the boy’s mother, much to Ed’s relief.In Yoki Town, they come across May Chang and Xiao-Mei lying face down on the street. When she tries to rifle through May’s things, Xiao-Mei comes to life and attacks Yoki in defense of her friend May. After Yoki gives her some food, she pledges her life to Yoki for saving her from starvation and tells him that she is looking for Edward Elric. He tells her that his servant will know where to find Ed.Meanwhile, on a dark, empty stretch of ocean shore, a lone man is confronted by Scar. The lone man turned out to be the state alchemist, the Silver Alchemist. Scar challenges the men and they fight to the death with Scar victorious.
