Summary:
The chapter opens with Edward and Alphonse talking about the Gate of Truth and their past attempts to use it for their own purposes. They also discuss the nature of the Homunculi and their relationship with the father, the creator of the Homunculi.Meanwhile, back in Central City, Olivier Armstrong tries to negotiate with his superiors in the military to allow her to take control of the situation and deal with the Homunculi. However, her efforts are facing resistance as military officials believe they can handle the situation on their own.In another part of town, Scar is still on the run from the army and is being chased by a group of soldiers. However, he can fight them off and run away.Back at Xerxes, Hohenheim is still trying to understand the true nature of the Homunculi and their connection to their father. He realizes that they were created from the souls of the people of Xerxes who were sacrificed in a failed attempt to create the Philosopher’s Ston.The chapter ends with Hohenheim discovering the true identity of the father who was once a slave in Xerxes and given the name “Van Hohenheim” by Hohenheim himself. Hohenheim is shocked and horrified to discover that his former slave has become such a powerful and dangerous being.
